Dear Independent Information Commission,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Independent Information Commission's handling of my FOI request 'FOI request data'.

The time limit for a response to my request of July 13 expired today Aug. 24.

Can you provide information about the handling of the request, perhaps a date when I should expect an answer?

This is after all a very simple request.

I assume the Commission desires to set a good example.

On Sept. 22, 2017, more than two months after not receiving a reply to my request for the most rudimentary information on the number of FOI requests received, I filed this appeal.

Dear IIC,

I write to appeal the IIC's failure to respond to my FOI request of July 13 and my subsequent request of Aug. 24 for an internal review.

Neither request was acknowledged or replied to.

I appeal pursuant to Section 2.1 which affords a right to appeal to a requester who does not receive a response within the legally defined time period.

I request acknowledgment of this appeal.
